First:
You might find it a **lot** easier to use a page layout program instead of
PhotoShop ... they are designed to do exactly what you are trying to do.
Think InDesign, PageMaker, Corel Ventura, Quark Depress, or even Serif's
PagePlus if you have the chance. Some of those programs even have
demo/trial versions that you could use to get this project "out the door."

Second:
Set up some guidelines, and turn on 'Snap to Guides."

It's usable, as long as it's a small and relatively simple brochure. For
complex, multipage brochures, newsletters, and the like, a page layout
program is better.

I use Photoshop for editing raster images, Illustrator for logos and
vector images, and InDesign or Quark for page layout and design.
